Bio : Born 1967 in London, England, United Kingdom. Lives and works in Belgrade, Serbia.
Description : Having been a studio based artist living in London, Brogan moves to Belgrade where he sets up an outsourced call centre as a means to live. This call centre becomes his studio. For this video, he used a recruitment process in his call centre in which he invited job applicants to audition from call centre scripts and to comment on a video of a reconstruction of a training session. He hoped this would provoke the job candidates who were typically passive and unquestioning to reveal a more critical attitude towards this work and the changes it would bring to their lives and identities.
